Howard Stern is having a banner week so far. While he’s snagging headlines for his Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant, he’s also getting slammed for his comments about Precious star and Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe.
Howard Stern’s saying something shocking! (Shocker, right?) Today his target is Precious’s Gabourey Sidibe. “There’s the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen. She is enormous. Everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to be in another movie.” And on Oprah Winfrey: “Oprah’s another liar, a filthy liar. She’s telling an enormous woman the size of a planet that she’s going to have a career.”
We should note Gaby just landed a role on Showtime’s The Big C.

Listen up, people. Howard Stern is known for saying out loud what everyone else is thinking. That’s his gig, we’ve all known that for years. If you don’t like it, change the channel. Cancel your subscription. Turn it off. But please do not sit there and tell me you didn’t think to yourself, “Wow. Gaby is pretty large.” It’s a fact. She’s way overweight, and that’s not healthy.

I would guess 99% of those who are upset about Stern’s words didn’t actually listen to the clip. Was it nice? No. Does Howard Stern have the right to say it? Of course. Just as Tony Kornheiser had the right to say Hannah Storm’s outfit was “horrible.” We have the right to free speech, not nice speech.

I’m as liberal as it gets and can’t find anything wrong with anything howard said. Listening to that clip make we want to get his radio show. Being obese is a sick disease. In my opinion poeple that fat are no better than a crack head, a drunk or any other type of sustance abuser. It is discusting that poeple do that to themselves. I am so sick of the media making it out to be admirable that they are strong through there cruel life. I more admire any chair or bed that has to support these whales. If I abused alcohol to the point of being near death would the media admire me for my courage to be a drunk. I don’t think so. So why don’t we treat these poeple like the sad and sick poeple that they are.

I, for one, would welcome government intervention at my dinner table. I need someone to tell me what and how much to eat. For my own good, of course.
I wonder where government would draw the line, though. 5 lbs. overweight? 50? 100?
Maybe we should all be on a government rationing program, regardless. Then, nobody would get any more to eat than anybody else, and then we could all be happy.

I’m not a writer. I’m just trying to type as quick as I can. I don’t really care if I misspell a couple of words. I’d rather have a spelling problem than be a fat whale. Just curios how much you weigh. I weigh 200 lb at 6 ft tall so I could lose 20 pounds like a lot of people. But at least I am honest that I need to lose that 20 lb. The problem is that fatties think people should accept their weight. If you are against Howard I would be interested to know how much you weigh. Most fat people don’t understand is that the rest of us find you pretty gross and think the way Howard and I do.

lol like im going to say how much i weigh. i can see where that conversation will lead. if i way too little i’ll probably be anorexic or bulimic and if i way too much ill be a fat bitch. id like to avoid that so heres the answer…between 100-200lbs and im over 5ft 5in. yes i should of nt made a comment about the spelling and shit. i type fast and misspell words all the time and i can see that anyone who comments after this will analyze my shit to hell and back and say something about it and I DON’T GIVE A SHIT. i just hate howard stern. i don’t know how he is even famous. thats so sweet of him to say he is concerned about her health after saying a bunch of mean shit about her like she isnt aware that she is obese. oh well everyone is racist somehow. some ppl hate gays…. some ppl hate blacks etc etc etc. if ppl compare obese ppl to druggies why make fun of the obese? people don’t go around making fun of druggies. they treat it as a life threatning situation. obese ppl cant put down food just like druggies can’t put down the drugs.

people make fun of crack heads all the time look at the Dave chappelle show. Drunks are made fun of all the time, to many shows to list. I just think everything Stern said was right on. Hollywood puts her in the spotlight and says “isn’t she great” ” the beginning of a great career”. They all know it is not true. Its almost like she is just being used as a prop to show wonderful and inclusive they are. Ya she may get a role as fat chick here and their but she will never have a career like the other woman nominated that night, or like Oprah implied.
It has nothing to do with race, I actually find fat white chicks a lot more disgusting than fat black chicks don’t ask me why. Comparing it to race is intellectually lazy. Would you consider people who pity crack heads and hope for their recovery but really don’t care because they did it to themselves a racist. I don’t think so, so it shouldn’t apply here.
By the way I did just notice that I have a spell check on the google tool bar. So thank you for your constructive criticism, I just hope I can use it for quick books online and make my document just that much better.

Hollywood is a factory of fakery, America…probably why we are so in love with it, as a matter of fact. Would you rather watch 2 hours of movie or 2 hours of news? How many movies did the average person watch last year and how many of them were documentaries? One percent?
We should also note that Showtime’s “Big C” is not a movie. She will never have another leading role in a feature film again…at that size. Hell, even the *WRITERS* have to lie about their age in Hollywood, and they don’t appear on camera.

The question is her health…if she is suffering under her weight she now has the money, hopefully, to get some help in losing some weight. But please people, hollywood is not some hell hole that will throw this talented woman into the dust bin.

Hey, guys, you’re talking as though “career” means romantic leads or nothing at all. There is a little person (I can’t remember if dwarf is no longer PC) who keeps getting wonderful roles on House, on Boston Legal (she was William Shatner’s paramour, remember?), on other shows, not in spite of small stature but because of it. (And what was the name of the guy on Fantasy Island?) There’s that wonderful deaf actress — Marlee Matlin, or something like that — who plays deaf people, and has a wonderful career doing so. Gabbe will undoubtedly find roles because of her size, not in spite of it. I, for one, cannot pretend I don’t find her repulsive to look at — nor will I pretend that, since I’ve never met the woman, I lose sleep over her health. But she has clearly managed to turn her girth into a career asset, and I imagine will continue to do so.
