Facebook Privacy Change Sparks Federal Complaint
The backlash against Facebook’s updated privacy policies is about to expand. The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) is preparing to file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission over the social network’s updated licenses, PC World has learned.

Facebook just jumped the shark.
It’s officially time to work on a transportable data standard for Facebook and Twitter that’s owned by the user.

Er- a data standard to permit users to own their own data and transport it between services as they see fit.
Dave Weiner has a proposal for microblogs a la Twitter, but something more comprehensive for social networks is needed- extending FOAF.
